Stills From The Kohl Children's Museum

Still June 16, 2010:

I assume that you enjoy seeing these girls as much as we do. We try to get them together often in hopes that they develop a bond that lasts a lifetime. AND it's a lot of fun for all!

The Fields Auto Group sponsors an area about, oddly enough, cars. This was the brake demonstration. They like spinning the wheel. Brake pedal is too stiff for our girls.

Everyone likes the nursery. Baby dolls, a little kitchen, books and lullabies in many languages. What's not to like. Oh! There are books too.

Grandma helps Logan with the kitchen stuff.

Cora got a baby. She's had practice at being a 'Big Sister'.

Logan serves up refreshments.

Cora checks out the 'Rube Goldberg' contraption. They both enjoy causing it to move the balls around.

Logan is so serious. This was early in the day and she had slept in the car. It just takes a little while to get her motor running again.

When one pumps the handle it inflates ten feet tall cloth tubes.

The water room is fascinating. So many activities! Rivers, wind, lifts, water pressure, squirting!

Captain Cora, master of her ship!

In the environment area there was a tent, "pond", "fish", "stream", and hands on play ranger experience.

Here the girls take a fabric tree, and plant it in the soil and rocks.

Cora like the tent a lot. It was well done.

Cora crawled through the "log". Logan wasn't interested in it at all.

Look at that smile! I told you that Cora liked the "log". I mean REALLY liked it.

Playing the drums in the Music Exploration area.
They enjoyed the percussion area.

Logan and Cora inside the "tree trunk".

Logan looking out. Isn't she the cutest?

Logan takes the wheelbarrow on the boat.
It seems like a good way to load a ship.
Logan loved this wheelbarrow.

Another loaded wheelbarrow. These were supposed to be "roofing material" from the house you see in the background.

I don't know what one calls these ladies job, but they were telling a story with a hand puppet. The story led to an appearance of "Smokey the Bear". The girls liked this part.

Logan wanted to meet Smokey until it was her turn. Then it was only from the safety of Grandma's arms. Cora wanted nothing to do with it from the start. As soon as the story ended and Smokey entered she was off on the long way out of the farthest door.

Back to the Fields display. Both girls loved to drive the car.

In the grocery store they select items from the shelves on their own. Where did Logan learn to look the other way while walking?

Cora almost gets run over by Logan. No harm no foul.
Time to checkout. Scan an item and listen for the beep.

I think Cora started the shirt thing. This was the closed circuit TV. They started out dancing and it became a little girls gone wild thing with jumping and running and shirt lifting.

The energy area. This was a solar demo. Face the panels on the roofs toward the "Sun" on the wall and the house lights up. Set it in aimed anywhere else and it doesn't work. The girls became a little possessive of their houses.
